December and connected!

I’ve not posted since before half term and no, I haven’t been away for a month. We had a computer failure, followed by a series of broadband faults.

I thought I was sanguine about it, believing technology is just another tool. How wrong could I be? I felt the pressure: what was going on? who had tried to contact me? am I out of the loop?

Hopefully fixed, and fast enough to get my emails, I can resume ‘Feminism on Friday’, post images of recent work and generally be in touch.

I’m not about to list my comings and goings but about yesterday …..

To begin; Yesterday I had a full day (well full for me), beginning with coffee and cake at my local library.    A wonderful facility, full of excellent staff, keen readers and residents who know the worth of knowledge and friendship.   I had a sort of exhibition of my recent work. It was very well received. It is a real privilege to exhibit in your own community.   Thanks Janet and Mary, you are the best.

To Conclude: Out Aloud, the Sheffield LGBT Choir, sang with two German choirs: HeartCore and Piece of Peace at the University of Sheffield. They were magnificent.

You can catch Out Aloud in the Sheffield Winter Gardens on the 15th December, make the effort they are well worth it.

A long day but a special one
