This week, an online community for girls, posted an article about girls and swearing. The post began by focusing on a high school in New Jersey that required all of the girls at the school to pledge that they would not swear while on school grounds.
While this is nothing new, Kate Bigam, the author of the post, points out that the boys didn’t have to take any kind of pledge like this. She writes of a teacher she talked to who “called the experiment ‘a really sweet, innocent, special treat for the ladies specifically for the month of February kind of thing.’”
Bigam writes, “I am a successful, confident, educated woman – and I also swear a lot. I swear not because I have a limited vocabulary but because sometimes swear words are simply the best words for expressing a given sentiment.”

I swear horribly. And sometimes those words are what you need!

It’s a scary thought that girls are being so obviously treated differently to boys! ‘Well F**K it’ I say
